Hanging out with Park Ave Plastic Surgeon Dr. Nadia Afridi
When you a have medical problem that you need help with, who do you go to? I am fortunate (or possible misfortunate, depending on your point of view) to enough to meet a lot of smart doctors. I suffered from Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR). When you can’t pronounce the disorder; it must be bad. Let’s save that story for another post.

What’s the most interesting thing about Dr. Nadia?
In addition to being a great board certified plastic surgeon, she also studying to get a MBA in Columbia University. I lovingly refer to her as dr. geek.
She really cares about her patients. Giving her cell phone out freely? Crazy, right? I can barely get a nurse to call me back in most cases. Dr. Nadia strives to get perfect surgical outcomes. Her focus on patients is impressive. However, she really let herself go. Dr. Nadia was in desperate need of a makeover badly.
M3dfilm decided to give her a makeover; I often do these off-the-cuff Pro bono random projects. I just like helping people; it’s just my nature. I took her to Dop Dop Salon NYC to get a haircut and color.
It was painful process for me; cause doctors by their very nature don’t like to be told what to do. As you can imagine there was a lot of whining.
After 3 months of transformation. We had to work on her posture, her perfume, her makeup, etc. Yes, it was a serious makeover. I think we had excellent outcome.
If some random guy, comes up to you, says he wants to help you for no other reason than helping another human being, don’t just blow him off.
He could have a lot of resources, connections, etc. It could be a positive invaluable experience.
At the very least take his email!
Now she looks like a top doctor. I let you be the judge…
